Introduction:
The simple popularity of coffee as a crop began to rise from the 1400s to the 1600s throughout Europe. The demand for coffee in America began to increase after the events of the Boston Tea Party because it was considered a patriotic duty. The first coffee percolator was invented by an American named James Nason in 1865. Although this was a great first step into the future of coffee making, there was a lot more space for improvement. The first coffee maker involving a filter was created in 1908 by German housewife, Melitta Bentz. The filter allowed people to obtain all the flavor from the coffee grounds while leaving behind the coffee grounds. Along with several improvements on design and new ideas to better the coffee brewing experience, the automatic drip coffee makers came to be. First invented by Swiss manufacturer Gottlob Widman in 1953, which grew in popularity through the 60s and 70s due to greater accessibility to electric power. The production and consumption of coffee has been present throughout the world which opened up doors for the improvement of the coffee making experience leading towards the everyday efficient coffee making at home.
The SharkNinja CE251 coffee maker is a programmable coffee machine that provides the ability to choose when and how to make coffee. The CE251 coffee maker also carries great qualities with several features that widen the coffee making experience to produce good coffee. The coffee maker is made up of 18/8 stainless steel which aids in the prevention of oxidation.
Parts Descriptions:
The overall body of the CE251 coffee maker is 10 inches in width, 14 inches in height, 8 inches in depth, and weighing at 8.2 pounds. It is not too big and not too small, therefore easy to allocate along a kitchen counter. It is mainly made up of 18/8 stainless steel and plastic, while the carafe is made up of heat resistant glass.
Integrated Scoop: The integrated scoop is an efficient piece that attaches to the side of the coffee maker through a press on function. One scoop is equivalent to 1 tablespoon. One scoop is adequate for one cup of coffee, however the concentration of coffee can be regulated through water to coffee ratio.
Brew-through lid: The brew-through lid serves as the top of the carafe which is easy to secure on the carafe by just turning it clockwise. The center of the lid is shaped in a way as to not allow any coffee from spilling through the ends of the lid.
Carafe: The glass container or carafe has the capacity of holding up to 12 cups of coffee and has a heating element at the bottom. The heating element of the carafe is located at the base, which works alongside the heating system that is part of the main body of the coffee maker.
Permanent filter: A reusable plastic filter that simulates a regular paper filter. It consists of mesh netting that covers most of the area of the filter, which is mainly made out of plastic. It also provides a handle in order to avoid messy withdrawal of the filter from the top of the coffee maker. However, this piece of the coffee maker is not included in some of the models.
Removable filter holder: In addition to the self cleaning function, the filter holder can be removed to make it easy to wash the insides of the machine when needed.
Brew Basket: The brew basket provides the support for the removable filter holder and provides adequate coverage in order for up to 12 tablespoons of coffee to not spill out. Alongside the filter holder, the brew basket also serves as the foundation for whether the permanent filter or the regular paper filter.
Brewer: The brewer is programmed to perform several features when it comes to brewing functions such as calibrating the temperature, coffee saturation and flavor richness. The brewer is also programmed to stop the brewing process once the carafe is removed from the machine, therefore allowing pouring a coffee in the middle of the brewing process. The brewing process can vary depending on the amount of water and coffee that is inputted, but the maximum amount of time it would take is 15 minutes.
Control Panel: The control panel provides a large series of options to customize the way in which the coffee is brewed and when it is brewed. The control panel also allows one to easily manage the brewing style that the machine will perform. It also allows one to clean the machine by just pressing a button also found on the control panel.
Precision temperature warming plate: The warming plate assures that the coffee inside of the carafe remains warm all throughout the brewing process. The warming plate will also stay on for 2 hours by default unless the user desires to keep it warm for longer or less time through an option also found on the control panel.
Water Reservoir and Lid: The water reservoir lid allows easy removal and easy access to the actual water reservoir. The water reservoir has a capacity of up to 12 cups of water and leaves some space to avoid any spilling. It is easy to detach and attach back onto the machine frame.
Conclusion:
Overall the SharkNinja CE251 automated programmable coffee brewer provides a quality coffee making experience. The CE251 coffee machine is able to produce up to 12 cups of coffee thanks to its spacious water reservoir and keeps the coffee warm for more than 2 hours, which makes it convenient for anyone no matter if they are a morning person or not, the coffee will stay hot. Lastly, its great control panel options and brewing options widen the possibilities to fulfill any coffee drinker’s desired cup of coffee.
